Yesterday I shared about the 5-Day Nutritive Cleanse for a gentle and effective cleanse to improve overall health and wellness. Today, let’s begin with targeted cleanses beginning with the colon. But first, let’s talk about the colon for a moment. I know it isn’t much of a “table talk” discussion but it’s definitely important to understand the function and role that our colon has in regards to our health.
The colon is considered the large intestine which plays a part in the final role of digestion. It is a large tube averaging about 6 feet in length of dense muscle tissue that escorts waste from the body. Before it escorts waste from the body, it removes liquids and salts from the waste as it passes through the body. From here, the body prepares to excrete it through the means of bowel movements. It is important to keep this part of the body healthy to do its job.
Cleansing the Colon
One of the important things about cleansing that I have learned over the years, is understanding that the “back door” needs to be open and clear before the garbage can escape. Meaning, a colon cleanse is usually the first system of cleansing to take place before any other body systems get cleaned out (unless doing a total body cleanse). It doesn’t make sense to release toxins from the body only to have it reabsorbed because there was a faulty exit strategy, so it’s important to have a healthy colon ready to do its job.
ComforTone® (capsules) are an effective combination of herbs and essential oils that support the health of the digestive system by eliminating residues from the colon and enhancing its natural ability to function optimally.* Because it supports normal peristalsis (the wave-like contractions that move food through the intestines), ComforTone is ideal for strengthening the system that delivers nutrients to the rest of the body.* It also contains ingredients that are beneficial to liver, gall bladder, and stomach health.*
This essential oil blend consists of tarragon, ginger, peppermint, juniper, fennel, lemongrass, anise and patchouli, and may be useful for improving digestive function.
It can be applied topically, breathed in aromatically, or both. One method of applying topically is to apply to the abdomen followed with a hot compress.
Here’s to your health and to a new year. Here’s to a fresh new start, a clean slate, and an optimal functioning body. Here’s to your wellness, purpose and abundance!
